Diving teams searching for apparent victims drowned in Lake Del Valle



(BCN) – A swimmer in Lake Del Valle near the dam went underwater Sunday evening and appears to have drowned, said Sergeant. Ray Kelly in the Alameda County sheriff’s office.

The lake, which is 10 miles southeast of Livermore, is part of the East Bay Regional Park District.

Kelly said the EBRPD Police Department responded to the first report of a diving swimmer, and now the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Diving Team has led the pond to search for the body.

No further details are available at this time.
